The Long House

The Long House is an imaginative refurbishment of an 1800s townhouse by Noroof. (a design/research collaboration of emerging designers and senior architects led by two award-winning architect-educators)
Reminiscent of a passenger train, the linear layout has a walk-through parlor car (living and dining), a sleeping car (study, guest bedroom, enclosed loggia), and the presidential car (bedroom).
Linear perspectives are used to define views of the outdoors.

I received a request from one of my favorite clients, Andrea Kelly, a member of The Volpe Team at Douglas Elliman, to photograph one of their intriguing rental projects.
The unique aspect of this project is that the owners themselves are the architects. Although they have had a previous photoshoot, those images cannot be reused for listing promotion.
Hence, there is a need for a fresh photoshoot, and our goal is to surpass the quality of the previous one.
